# Sisters of Necromancy

>The Sisters of Necromancy are the premiere school for studying necromancy with the brightest necromancers of Lavitra working in the institute to advance the magic and technology of the field.

>The Sisters are led by a council, a handful of which had been there at the founding of the school. The name was brought about due to the institute initially being for women due to its drow origins, but accepts male students.

>In recent centuries men have even come onto the council, which today is just as racially diverse as the students who attend the school.

>Some world governments even recognise the Sisters as an official overseeing body for the regulated practice of necromancy. Representatives of the Sisters are often involved in processes such as the logistics of verifying revivals and resurrections of those who regained life after being legally classified as dead, investigating ‘unethical’ uses of necromancy, and helping to ward off death from politicians and monarchs.
