>## About
>There are two main postal systems in Lavitra, one is a more rigid system which follows the same principles as your average post system; one your letter/package you write the address you want it sent to, you buy a stamp, and it gets posted. This postage system is reliable and cheap(er), and you can expect your letters and packages to arrive within a set window of time.
>
>The second system, The Guild of Crows, is an independant organisation that delivers postage to those without an address; these are most commonly nomads, wizards that frequently teleport, those on separate planes, etc, but their most common 'clients' are adventurers. How this system works, is instead of an address written onto a package, details about the receiver are given instead; this includes names (full names, first names, anything), description (race, gender, notable features etc), their last known locations/where they're most likely to be, and/or an item that is personal to them (a photo/drawing of them, a lock of their hair, a drop of their blood, their favourite childhood stuffed animal etc). After this approximate location is determined, the parcel is then teleported to the nearest guild within the area, before being sent to be delivered by hand.
>
>This information is then used to locate this person however the courier sees fit; the couriers are hired based on their tracking and adventuring skills, and are meant to be able to climb through wilderness, caverns, dungeons, etc, just to find whoever this letter is meant for. A mixture of magic, technology and sleuthing is used, where things like scrying etc are used to track and locate the person as best as possible. Once its better pinpointed the general area/location the receiver is, a courier is then dispatched to that location to essentially hunt and track them down.
>
>If the receiver has had a sudden change of location (teleporting, usually), the courier is notified, the letter/package returned to the nearest Guild of Crows, and the process is repeated. The Guild of Crows postage is the most expensive and unreliable form of postage, but is pretty much the only way you can contact someone who moves around a lot (like an adventurer!) The information given to locate the person is kept confidential within the guild's circle of locators (The people employed to scry/track down an approx. area), and then the relevant information then is given to the courier, who then finds the receiver. The person who sent the letter does _not_ get information about the receiver's whereabouts, potential or not.
>
>And on this, because of the nature of the postage system, a letter/package can take anywhere from a few days to a few months to get to who it needs to (sometimes a few years if they're particularly hard to track!)
